"May I always be subordinate to thee,
be dependant upon thee,
be found in the path where thou dost walk,
and where thy Spirit moves,
take heed of estrangement from thee,
of becoming insensible to thy love...
Let thy love draw me nearer to thyself..." || The Valley of Vision

Today was a warm and sunny, gold-paint-on-the-fingernails, bridal-shower-for-my-friend-Kate kind of day.  Between my mother and I, we won all the games at the shower [didn't quite seem fair, but we couldn't help it...honest!]... I'll openly admit to my serious aversion of bridal/baby shower games. I pretty much detest them all, unless they are completely original. The only one I kind-of like is the "how well do you know the bride and/or groom," and then only because each couple and story is unique, making the game somewhat interesting and new each time. :) But that's just me...

I've also been reading "A Man Worth Waiting For || How to Avoid a Bozo," by Jackie Kendall. I'm half way through it, and it's been so good. I've heard most of it many times before in other books, but it's been such a fresh and timely reminder for me to wait and choose--not settle, and that good men do exist, other than those already married...or dead. :)

The bedroom and books looked even nicer in morning light... I made a simple inspiration board [to follow] for a bedroom redecoration. Someday. :)

"Indeed, I count everything as loss because of
the surpassing worth of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.
For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things
and count them as rubbish,
in order that I may gain Christ
and be found in him,
not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,
but that which comes through faith in Christ,
the righteousness from God that depends on faith—
that I may know him and the power of his resurrection,
and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death..."
