With two inches of snow currently covering the ground,

I'm sooo, so ready for Summer.

{Or even Spring--the real Spring--for that matter!}

Ready to fling open the windows...

throw off the sweaters...

and live life outdoors.

Today...West Elm inspires me.

But more on that later...

I have the happiest, lover-liest plans for the summer.

One of my bestest friends will be making a visit.

And I get to plan a bridal shower...and a wedding {!!}.

And spend so much time with the people I love...

But much, much more on that later. ;D

Here's to thinking happy thoughts of flowers

I'll soon be able to see outside my window.

Another week is behind us...

for some it was a week of extra work, cold, and mud...

{only too typical this time of year}

and for others...

a week of sun-soaked memories with best friends

{the happiest of times in TN}.

But either way...

we were blessed.

Spent the day away baking

{cupcakes, of course...and lemon bars too}

and now off to work and then

a special-someone's first-ever birthday party {!!}.

Thinking hopeful thoughts of summer again...

of hot, quiet meadows,

squishy sand between the toes,

and flowers to grace our home.

Yes, yet another rain-filled day.

But since it's raining, and not snowing...

That must mean that Spring is almost nearly here.

And after Spring comes Summer...

and how we love, love, love those Summer days.

Yesterday was the warmest day of the year thus far--

65 degrees!

To us flip-flop and t-shirt

starving folk in Pennsylvania...

it felt just like July.

everything buried once again in snow...
happiness truly is a cup of coffee
and a really good book.
And a cupcake or two as well, of course.

this morning i awoke wishing {oh so hard!} for summer.

i know, i know, it's not even officially spring yet,

but i can't help longing for the warmth...

the sunshiny goodness

of summer.

so, stumbling across these photos today made me oh-so-happy!

rainy day monday

It's a cold and rainy//10-hour work day Monday.

Yuck.

But God's love hasn't seemed so real in a looong time,

and this morning...Psalm 63

became my favorite-ever portion of Scripture.

Perhaps it's not such a terrible day after all. :D

My newest obession: Charming Charlie.

Oh yes.  I think I really, really like you.

And I like seeing the green grass.

I'd forgotten how very beautiful it is...

just seeing it makes my heart flutter for Spring.

Oh, and new employees at work

and unexpected pay raises?

I like those too.
